The St. Louis Blues welcomed rookie sensation Vladimir Tarasenko back to the lineup Saturday, and he responded with an assist in an overtime victory over Anaheim. That's the good news. The bad news is that the injury bug continues to bite Ken Hitchcock's squad, who will now have to make do without T.J. Oshie for at least a few more games.
The 26-year old forward has already missed two full contests after leaving last Tuesday's game against San Jose early because of a rib injury. And, while he did try practicing on Saturday, he was later placed on injured reserve as the Blues juggled their injury-riddled roster. That means Oshie can't return until this upcoming Saturday (on the road against Edmonton) at the earliest. Even with guys bouncing in and out of the lineup though, St. Louis has managed to win five of six and climb up to No. 4 in the West. As long as Chris Stewart continues to knock the puck into the net any time it comes anywhere near him (seven goals and seven assists in his last seven outings), they should be in pretty good shape.
