Briere trade talk
By Victoria Matiash
Unless he has an unexpected change of heart, Danny Briere of the Philadelphia Flyers isn't going anywhere. According to the Philadelphia Daily News, the veteran forward has zero interest in waiving his no-movement clause for a ticket elsewhere.
"I don't want to comment on anything at this point," Briere told the Daily News. "Trades are not my department. I've been a Flyer for a long time. My heart belongs in Philadelphia with the Flyers. I can't see myself playing anywhere else."
So, regardless of rumored interest from the St. Louis Blues and Boston Bruins, the 35-year-old is unlikely to budge from Philly. Carrying a cap hit of $6.5 million through the next two years, Briere is owned 'only' $3 million next season and $2 million in 2014-15.
