Ryder's future with Canadiens

Following a trade from the Dallas Stars, forward Michael Ryder is facing an uncertain future with his new club, the Montreal Canadiens. Only in the sense that his contract is set to expire this summer. TSN's Darren Dreger suggests the ball is in the 32-year-old winger's court, as far as his future with the Habs is concerned.
"If Ryder continues to produce, (GM Marc) Bergevin will try and sign him. If not, he walks as an (unrestricted free agent) and (Montreal) uses the cap space for other needs."
"All doors are open," Bergevin told the Montreal Gazette.
Ryder is expected to suit up for the Habs against the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday evening.
