Green eyes return

Defenseman Mike Green could be back in action for the Washington Capitals Thursday evening. The Washington Post reports Capitals coach Adam Oates considers Green a "game-time decision". In preparation, the club's top blue-liner took it easy in morning practice.
"I need to be up in the play and when you don’t have that explosion then I'm not going to be very effective," Green said. "It's frustrating but you gotta be smart. I've been through this before so I know what to do and what not to do. Just take it day by day here and hopefully I'll feel good enough to go tonight."
Oates implied the Capitals might dress seven defensemen if Green is able to compete against the New Jersey Devils.
