Another chance for Brennan to shine
By Victoria Matiash
Defenseman T.J. Brennan is set to enjoy another plum opportunity to make the right impression with the Buffalo Sabres. According to John Vogl of the Buffalo News, the 23-year-old blueliner is pegged to sub in for Jordan Leopold (healthy scratch) when the Sabres host the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday. And that's not all.
While pegged to pair Mike Weber at even strength, a spot alongside the Sabres' top power-play skaters also appears to be in store for Brennan. Ahead of Tuesday's tilt with the Jets, the rookie practiced on the No. 1 unit with F Jason Pominville, F Thomas Vanek, F Marcus Foligno, and F Tyler Ennis. Which suggests both D Christian Ehrhoff and D Tyler Myers have been relegated to the second unit.
