Booth eyes return

By Victoria Matiash

The Vancouver Canucks could have forward David Booth (groin) in the lineup for the first time this season when they face the Chicago Blackhawks. According to the Vancouver Sun, Booth is a 'coach's decision' for Tuesday's tilt in Chicago.

“I definitely want to try it but I can't push it to have any setbacks,” Booth said Monday. “I have been trying to feel it out in practice but I think the best way to get back into it is just getting into games. I mean, practice can only stimulate so much and I've been practising for five months now. The pace of the game is something you cannot get in practice.”

Coach Alain Vigneault is expected to ease Booth back into the lineup; light minutes on the fourth line could be in order off the bat.

To clear roster space, the Canucks placed forward Andrew Ebbett on waivers with the intent of sending him to the AHL Chicago Wolves.
