Latest re: Blues' blue line

Defenseman Jeff Woywitka may not be the biggest fan of the most recent move made by the St. Louis Blues. As discussed by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the signing of defenseman Colin White could put Woywitka at risk of losing his projected roster spot. The Blues gave White a tryout contract Tuesday.
“He’s another piece to the puzzle,” Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said.
White could be in direct competition with Woywitka for the role of No. 7 defenseman. Unless the Blues go with eight blueliners -- a real possibility -- one of the two imposing, stay-at-home D-men will likely be the odd-man out.
