O'Reilly trade talk

Despite difficulties in re-signing the 21-year-old restricted free agent, the Colorado Avalanche has little desire to trade Ryan O'Reilly.
As reported by the Denver Post, "two NHL sources" claim the Avs are not trying to deal him "at this time".
There's word the Colorado club is offering O'Reilly a two-year deal worth $7 million, while O'Reilly is seeking an annual salary in the $5-million ballpark. Contract negotiations are ongoing while the young forward continues to compete in Russia.
