With the holiday break (and roster freeze) approaching, the rumor mill be also be hitting a speed bump. But before that happens, let's dive in to what's brewing around the league.
The big news is that Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has been placed on IR, as his doctors adjust his treatment for multiple sclerosis. Harding has been an incredible success this season, as his 1.51 goals-against average leads the league, and his .939 save percentage is second overall. The Wild will hand the starting gig back to Niklas Backstrom for any games missed for Harding, but the latter is eligible to return on Dec. 27. The Wild have three upcoming road games during that span.
