Since well before the final horn sounded on the truncated 2012-13 season, there has been a lot of speculation as to where veteran goaltender Tim Thomas would land. The 2011 Conn Smythe winner (and two-time Vezina Trophy winner) took a year off from playing, and though his rights at one time belonged to the New York Islanders, they did not toll his contract over, and thus he became a free agent. The Islanders remained somewhat in the mix, but after re-signing Evgeni Nabokov, that door appears to have shut. So where might the former Bruin finally land?
