Alfredsson's new linemates

It's no secret why the Detroit Red Wings wanted Daniel Alfredsson. In signing the 40-year old forward, they get a skilled vet with plenty of big game experience, 1,108 career NHL points and extra motivation to take home a Stanley Cup right away. What's more, because of the talent they already have in place, Mike Babcock's squad doesn't have to rely on Alfie for huge numbers. They just need him to produce, and he has an extensive resume that more than proves he can do that.
