Nino Niederreiter entered the NHL with lofty expectations back in 2010. The New York Islanders made him the No. 5 pick in the draft that year, on the heels of his impressive performance for Switzerland at the World Juniors, as well as a 36-goal effort for Portland of the WHL. He never found his groove with the Isles though, posting just two goals and one assist -- along with a minus-30 rating -- in 64 NHL games with the club.
