It seemed pretty clear that Cory Schneider would be the Vancouver Canucks' No. 1 goaltender for the foreseeable future. Especially when he signed a new contract last summer and was named, well, the Vancouver Canucks' No. 1 goaltender for the foreseeable future. But Roberto Luongo delivered a solid effort when he saw the ice this past season, and his contract proved virtually impossible to trade. After another first round exit, it was clear something had to be done and, yesterday, that "something" became the option of dealing Schneider away.
