Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Laughton stands an excellent chance of playing in the NHL this season. At least to start.

Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer suggests the 18-year-old center "looks like a lock to make the Flyers' opening-day roster", since Tye McGinn was sent back to the AHL Phantoms. In practice, Laughton has been playing on a line with wingers Wayne Simmonds and Matt Read.
