How Ward's injury impacts the 'Canes

UPDATE: According to the Carolina Hurricanes, Cam Ward will indeed be out for awhile. Today's MRI revealed a sprained right knee ligament. It won't require surgery, but is expected to sideline him for six to eight weeks. The regular season ends on April 27 for Kirk Muller's club, and that's just under eight weeks from today. That means Dan Ellis gets thrust into the No. 1 role for the first place 'Canes, barring some sort of deal before the trade deadline.
