Toronto Maple Leafs star Joffrey Lupul says he's "doing everything I can to get back as soon as possible" from the broken forearm he suffered in the third game of the season, but admits that he's not close to even skating on his own just yet.
The update comes from Sportsnet's Chris Johnston, who spoke to Lupul -- who was initially expected to miss six-to-eight weeks -- Tuesday during the Leafs annual visit to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children.
That timeline would have put the 29-year-old's return in early- to mid-March, which now seems a little ambitious. But Lupul insisted that he'll be able to return to his team's lineup before the regular season ends on April 27.
