Seems there's a chance that journeyman tough guy Jody Shelley could end up back with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In a cryptic message posted on his Twitter feed late Tuesday afternoon, Columbus Dispatch beat writer Aaron Portzline wrote the following:
Would I be surprised if #Flyers LW Jody Shelley made it back to the #CBJ before this season ends? No, I would not be surprised at all.

Acquiring Shelley would be an interesting move considering that Columbus is already leading the NHL with 16 fighting majors this season, and also because the Philadelphia Flyers placed the veteran on injured reserve before Tuesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

But if it happens, it would also be a homecoming of sorts for the 37-year-old, who made his NHL debut with the Jackets during 200o-01 and spent parts of six season with the club before playing for the San Jose Sharks, New York Rangers and Flyers.
