White's future in Montreal (update)

February, 12, 2013
UPDATE: Although they were out-toughed in a fight-filled 6-0 loss to the rival Toronto Maple Leafs last weekend, Montreal Canadiens coach Michel Therrien will not put pugilist Ryan White in the Habs' lineup Tuesday when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning, reports Montreal Gazette scribe Pat Hickey.

How deep in Therrien's dog house is White? We might get a good clue when the Canadiens host the Philadelphia Flyers -- currently tied for third in the NHL in fighting majors this season -- at the Bell Center on Saturday night. If White's not back on the ice then, you'd have to wonder if he's done as a Canadien for good.

Not only did the boneheaded penalty Montreal Canadiens forward Ryan White took against the Buffalo Sabres Feb. 7 cost his team the game, it could mark the end of White's tenure with the Habs.
