MJD's recovery timeline
By Tom Carpenter
Maurice Jones-Drew gave some updates on his health Wednesday for the first time since undergoing foot surgery, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
MJD said he did not suffer a Lisfranc injury, but he did break a bone in his foot. He will begin swimming rehab in February and working out on land the following month. He also said that if the Jacksonville Jaguars hold their first mini-camp in April prior to the draft, he plans to attend, even if he hasn't been cleared to take part.
It's a bit disconcerting that he won't be ready to rehab his foot on hard surfaces until March, considering that he had the surgery on Dec. 28, but he still has plenty of time to get back into shape before training camp in July. Still, we will have to keep a close eye on his progress, as any setback could force the Jags to start him off on the PUP list.
