Seattle's FA targets
By Tim Kavanagh
The Seattle Seahawks came within a field goal of heading to the NFC championship game this season, and in order to push themselves to the next step, they'll use both the draft and free agency to bolster their ranks.
One area where it appears they'll definitely be investing this offseason is in the front seven. ESPN 710 AM analysts Brock Huard and Mike Salk discussed the Seahawks' situation, and identified some key FAs that could be brought in, provided their incumbent teams don't re-sign or franchise tag them in the weeks ahead. In terms of a pass-rusher, Huard cited Baltimore's Paul Kruger and Detroit's Cliff Avril as possibilities, while Salk believes that Miami DT Randy Starks would be a fine addition to bolster the interior of the D-line.
The big unknown for Seattle is the status of Chris Clemons for this upcoming season. Clemons injured his knee on the shoddy grass at FedEx Field in the opening round of the playoffs, and it's uncertain whether he'll be ready for the start of the season and if he'll be back to his dominant self by then.
