O-line battles for Dallas
By Tim Kavanagh
The good news for the Dallas Cowboys is that they appear to have two solid building blocks on their offensive line in LT Tyron Smith and C Travis Frederick. The bad news is that five men start on an NFL offensive line, not just two. So how are things looking at those other three spots?
Profiling the situation for ESPNDallas.com, Tim MacMahon notes that the battle at RT is the big one this training camp, with Jermey Parnell squaring off against Doug Free. However, there is also the chance that there could be some upheaval at the guard positions:
Tim MacMahonCowboys Position Series: O-line
"Ronald Leary, who spent much of his rookie season on the practice squad, has a chance to challenge incumbent starting guards Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau. The Cowboys considered Leary a third-round-caliber player and were elated to sign him as an undrafted free agent, but he was a disappointment during his rookie camp, in large part due to conditioning. He's benefited from an NFL offseason. He has an opportunity to win a starting job, especially if injuries continue to be an issue for the veteran guards."
