Long's value to Miami

By Tim Kavanagh

One of the big free agent decisions the Miami Dolphins have to make this offseason is the one regarding LT Jake Long, a former No. 1 overall pick whose performance has declined in recent campaigns.

According to what sources have revealed to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Long is seeking a deal worth $10 million per season, and scoffed at Miami's offer during the season.

That's a nice thing to want, but if that's Long's target, 2012 may well have been his last in a Dolphins uniform:

James Walker
Long wants $10 million per season
"If that's the case, Long probably played his last down in Miami. Long may get that money somewhere, but the Dolphins know better than anyone that he's on the decline. "
