Clark sticking with Bucs?
By Tim Kavanagh
Veteran TE Dallas Clark hung around in the free agent market for a while last offseason before landing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it was a good match: Clark caught 47 passes for 435 yards and four TDs, which was an improvement over his last two campaigns in Indianapolis. So will he be back with Tampa Bay in 2013?
If it's up to GM Mark Dominik, he sure will be. "I need to talk to his agent and figure out where they're at first because that's where it all starts," Dominik noted from the Senior Bowl, via the Tampa Tribune, while acknowledging he'd like to have Clark around for at least one more season. "Two people have to come together to make a deal happen as opposed to one side is happy and the other isn't so sure what it wants to do yet. ... But I was certainly happy with the way Dallas Clark played this year. He played 16 solid games and he stayed healthy, which is what a lot of people's concerns were."
There's also the issue of whether Clark wants to continue playing for any team in 2013. But it would seem like the fit worked out in Tampa, and would continue to be a good match if he is interested in extending his career.
