Seahawks still searching
By AJ Mass
The Seattle Seahawks are still shopping around for a backup quarterback behind Russell Wilson, even after bringing Josh Portis on board earlier this week. Apparently, the team wants to explore every available option "just in case" the worst-case scenario - injury to Wilson - were to happen.
Some of the names that the Seattle Times is reporting as being in play include the likes of Seneca Wallace, Tyler Thigpen, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart. However, most notably absent from the list of choices is Tim Tebow.
Although the Seahawks are said to have given Tebow some consideration, due to his ability to run an option-heavy offense, the $2 million price tag - combined with his poor passing record - seems to have ended those thoughts rather quickly.
