Kolb's comments a pro and a con
By AJ Mass
Kevin Kolb says he's very excited about the wrinkles that Doug Marrone is planning to bring to the Buffalo Bills this season, and points to that as the reason he agreed to sign on for the 2013 season.
"Without giving away too much," Kolb told the Buffalo News, "the unique style of offense that these guys run and what they bring to the picture as far as their knowledge of the game and their creativity and their ability to be open-minded, it really excited me."
The truth is that Marrone's hurry-up style of offense is a difficult one to master, and while Kolb certainly should be expected to be under center at the start of training camp, there's no reason to expect the Bills to stop shopping for quarterbacks on Draft Day.
In particular, Ryan Nassib, who has already proven to Marrone that he can run this system at Syracuse is certainly still the likely second round choice for Buffalo should he still be on the board. And if Kolb can't quite get a handle on this exciting and creative system with Nassib in the fold? Perhaps he'll be singing a different tune - from the bench.
