When Chip met Michael...
By AJ Mass
Chip Kelly has been installed as the new head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the most important decisions he will need to make is who will be under center as he attempts to bring a version of his Oregon offense to the NFL.
To that end, Kelly reportedly met with Michael Vick on Friday in order to see if there was a future for Vick with the Eagles. The issue here is that of money and time, though. Vick will get a guaranteed $3 million if he is still with the team on February 6. The trade window doesn't open again until mid-March.
So unless the team is willing to the possibility of having to eat that money, unless Kelly and Vick become fast friends, they would be wise to clip this quarterback's wings pronto.
