More buzz on Bush

By Tim Kavanagh

Last week, a report indicated that after all the speculation over where Reggie Bush might sign, his destination for 2013 may wind up being back with the Miami Dolphins. However, it appears that things have taken another turn.

"I'm told the Dolphins and Bush's representatives met earlier in the week and parted ways with both sides thinking it's 'unlikely' he'll be back in Miami," Ian Rapoport of NFL.com writes. "The Dolphins view him as a luxury, and Bush might be asking for a bit too much money from a team that sees him in that light."

Rapoport cites the Detroit Lions as a team to watch when it comes to Bush's next destination, something we've heard a lot in recent weeks. Another team to keep in mind? The Dallas Cowboys, who are looking for a new No. 2 RB behind DeMarco Murray (who hasn't been the most durable back during his brief NFL career). Bush would take over for Felix Jones, who is likely headed to free agency. Here's ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins:

"Bush is an interesting selection. He can become that third-down back that Felix Jones could never become. Bush can blitz protect on third down and he can catch passes out of the backfield and get up field. Bush is also solid at running off tackle and he's a solid change of pace to Murray. Of course money is an issue when it comes to signing anyone in free agency and it will be difficult for the Cowboys to give big money to Bush. If Bush wants to take less money to become a backup to Murray and take over in case of injury, it might be worth signing him."
