Foles in demand

By AJ Mass

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to publicly state that Nick Foles is not on the market. They expect the quarterback to compete with Michael Vick for the starting job on their team. At least, that's the story they are going with right now. USA Today is reporting that Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are not content to let the issue of Foles go to rest any time soon, and that trade talks regarding Reid's former starter are ongoing behind closed doors.

No deal can be officially resolve until March 12, so there's a still ample time for this process to play itself out, but if you see Matt Cassel getting his release between now and then, one can assume that some progress in these discussions - which are not officially taking place - is being made.

Report: Chiefs, Eagles talk about Nick Foles
"Kansas City's interest in Foles is understandable. Former Eagles coach Andy Reid, now in Kansas City, drafted Foles in the third round last season and Reid made Foles his starting quarterback late in the year. "
