Position switch for Taiwan Jones?
By Tim Kavanagh
Thus far, the NFL experience for the Oakland Raiders and RB Taiwan Jones has not been an altogether great one: he has just 94 yards on 22 career carries since being drafted in the fourth round in 2011. As a result, it appears he's going to have a new position in 2013.
According to ESPN AFC West blogger Bill Williamson, Jones will be making a move to the secondary; specifically, at CB.
"I'm pushing for cornerback," Oakland GM Reggie McKenzie revealed Friday from the scouting combine. "I think it fits his skill set. I think we're going to see how he does there."
The Raiders certainly need the help at CB; whether Jones can successfully make the switch will help to determine how quickly they can get back to the ranks of the contenders in the AFC West.
