Murray should carry Cowboys load

By AJ Mass

The Dallas Cowboys 2012 rushing performance was the worst in franchise history during a 16-game season and that's a huge reason why the team decided to bring in Gary Brown to coach the team's running backs.

Brown told the Dallas Morning News that he's expecting Demarco Murray to be the primary back in the team's 2013 offense, but conceded that Murray's injury history reinforces a need to bring in a solid No. 2 during the offseason.

"We all know that the injury bug has bit him a little bit," Brown said. "We have to keep him healthy... We just want to shine up some of his things and get him to be an elite runner."

If Murray can play a full slate of games, then he should easily surpass Dallas's 2012 rushing total of 1,265 yards on his own.
