The Tynes question
By Tim Kavanagh
During the past two seasons when the New York Giants have won the Super Bowl, Lawrence Tynes has been their placekicker. But as the team reloads for another run at that goal in 2013, his status with the club is as uncertain as the path flight of a ball kicked in the unruly MetLife Stadium winds.
Tynes is an impending free agent, and though he started off the 2012 season well -- converting 24 of his first 26 FG attempts -- he had a miss in four of the next six contests, and did not have any attempts in the final two games. Already this offseason, the Giants have signed K David Buehler and hybrid punter/kicker Jake Rogers, which has led to speculation that they're going to move on from Tynes. Here's Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com with his projection:

"Considering that the Giants went out and signed Buehler and Rogers, they might be preparing for the prospect of Tynes leaving for more money."
