Bradshaw and the Jets?
By Tom Carpenter
We discussed Tuesday how free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw had expressed some interest in staying in the Big Apple to play for the New York Jets in 2013. However, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News tweeted Tuesday evening that the interest is not mutual.
"Free agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw expressed his interest in Jets this morning on @nflnetwork.... #NYJ position on Bradshaw: Thanks, but no thanks," he wrote.
Some team will bite on Bradshaw's upside, despite his troublesome foot issues, but it appears that it won't be the Jets. The reality is that he may not lock up his next contract until he has fully recovered from his latest foot surgery a couple of months from now.
As for the Jets, ESPN AFC East blogger James Walker had this sarcastic response to their disinterest in Bradshaw:
James WalkerMorning Take
"I think New York should at least kick Bradshaw's tires. But I guess the Jets think they have enough offensive playmakers on the roster already."
