A return for Bushrod?
By Tim Kavanagh
The New Orleans Saints' selection of impending free agents features some that were contributors to the Super Bowl champs, but as with any franchise, they'll be saying goodbye to a fair number of them.
The list of UFAs this offseason includes LT Jermon Bushrod, LBs Jonathan Casillas, Ramon Humber and Scott Shanle, backup QB Chase Daniel, DT Sedrick Ellis, WRw Devery Henderson and Courtney Roby, CB Elbert Mack, DE Turk McBride and OT Will Robinson. Of this group, Bushrod is perhaps the most notable, though Daniel certainly has his value as Drew Brees' primary understudy. Here's ESPN NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas assessing the chances that Bushrod is brought back, given current market conditions:

Looking at the Saints' free agents"Although the Saints have major salary-cap issues, they are likely to at least make an attempt to keep Bushrod. But it's important to remember the Saints aren't like most other teams when it comes to their philosophy on paying offensive linemen. They have a history of paying more to guards (see Jahri Evans and Ben Grubbs) than they do to tackles and Bushrod could get big money on the open market."
