 Singletary to join Rams?

Mike Singletary, who spent last season tutoring linebackers for the Minnesota Vikings, seemed to not get much of a sniff of interest from any of the teams looking to fill a head coaching opening this offseason. However, he may be getting one step closer to another chance at running the show.

Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports tweets that Singletary interviewed for the defensive coordinator position for the St. Louis Rams. It's a job he's never held before, but should he do a solid job in a position that has been essentially remained unfilled since Gregg Williams was suspended before last season and Rob Ryan was "hired" and then ended up not taking the job in January, he should be on the short list of coaches under consideration for a head coaching gig in 2014.
