Three teams high on Nassib
By Tim Kavanagh
As the countdown to the NFL Draft continues -- the scouting combine is next, later this month -- one of the big questions this year is how many QBs will be taken in the first round? Though some are of the belief that none of this year's passer prospects are worthy of a first-round pick, there's always the possibility that a team trades back in to the bottom half of the first from their position high in the second round to snag a particular passer that they like.
According to Tony Pauline of TFY Draft Insider, that's something that could happen with Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib. Per Pauline, three teams -- the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets -- all think highly of Nassib, and it could come down to which one of them is willing to move back up to snag him ahead of the others. Currently, Kansas City has pick No. 34 overall, Philly has No. 35 and the Jets have No. 39.
Another team that's been strongly linked to Nassib is Buffalo, the new employers of his former HC and OC (Doug Marrone and Nathaniel Hackett). The Bills have the No. 8 pick in the first round, and No. 41 in Round 2.
