New idea on Jennings
By Tim Kavanagh
It appears to be a longshot that impending free agent WR Greg Jennings will return to the Green Bay Packers this offseason, and that's sparked a surge of speculation as to where he'll sign for 2013 and beyond. The most commonly linked team is the Miami Dolphins, who employ Jennings' former offensive coordinator, Joe Philbin, as their head coach. But there are other teams for whom signing him would make sense.
During an appearance on "NFL Total Access" on the NFL Network this week, Ian Rapoport brought up the Minnesota Vikings as a possible destination. The Vikings do need an additional outside target for Christian Ponder as a complement to Percy Harvin and TE Kyle Rudolph, and have $16.1 million in projected cap space, according to ESPN's John Clayton.
