Jackson ready to run
By AJ Mass
DeSean Jackson sounds excited about what Chip Kelly has told him about how he plans to use the speedy wide receiver in the Philadelphia Eagles offense in 2013.
Speaking with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jackson said that Kelly told him to" be prepared to have the ball in his hands more than usual" and offered up the comparison to how Kelly used DeAnthony Thomas in the Oregon Ducks offense. Thomas was sort of a jack-of-all-trades player, returning punts and kickoffs, catching passes and running the ball, too.
Under Andy Reid, Jackson saw his use in the return game slowly dwindle down to nothing, from 50 punt returns as a rookie in 2008, all the way down to a single chance in 2012. Allowing Jackson a few more opportunities per game to make a huge impact play is certainly going to make him a much more dangerous player on the field, and also a far more valuable fantasy football selection for the upcoming season.
