Amongst the long list of key New England Patriots set to hit unrestricted free agency this offseason is RB Danny Woodhead. Due to the fact that some of the other players in the impending UFA cohort are more recognizable names -- Wes Welker, Aqib Talib, Sebastian Vollmer, etc. -- Woodhead's situation has not received as much attention. So will he be back?
The RB admits that he hasn't given the situation much thought to this point. "It's only a week and a half out about [since the end of the Pats' season], and I still just haven't thought about it," he claimed, per the Boston Herald. "It will play out later on. It's a month away, so it's not something I've really thought about and probably won't think about for a little while."
The Pats could re-sign Woodhead, though they do have Shane Vereen and Jeff Demps as complements to lead back Stevan Ridley already on the roster. It'll all come down to finding a mutually agreeable set of contract parameters.
