There isn't a lot of drama about what rookie safety Matt Elam will earn under his first NFL contract. Via the slotting system per the CBA, he will get a four-year, $6.767 million contract with a $3.301 million signing bonus. However, Elam has chosen to not hire an agent and will work out the details of his contract on his own, with advice from his brother (and fellow NFL safety) Abram Elam, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. Though signing the deal is not imminent, Wilson's source said it will be finalized prior to the start of training camp.
