The Chicago Bears used a second-round pick (No. 50 overall) on Jon Bostic, a University of Florida product who they project to being the long-term heir to Brian Urlacher's throne as the club's starting MLB. However, in the short-term, they also have D.J. Williams on the roster, after having signed the former Bronco to a contract earlier this offseason. Nevertheless, there is some thought that Bostic could potentially take on a significant role even with Williams on the roster.
