Pats got Blount on the cheap

When the New England Patriots acquired RB LeGarrette Blount from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for RB Jeff Demps, it raised a few eyebrows, because the finances didn't matchup. Demps was set to make a league-minimum $405,000, while Blount had recently inked a one-year, $1.75 million contract extension with the Bucs. However, the Pats convinced Blount to slash his salary, according to Brian McIntyre of Shutdown Corner.
