Seahawks' long-term RB plans

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said he selected Christine Michael with the 62nd pick of the 2013 draft because the RB "was the highest-rated player on our board and we lost Leon Washington." Sure, that gives them some more depth in their backfield, but with the likes of Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin already in the mix, could there be a simpler reason why they added Michael?
