As we hear every pre-draft season, a number of NFL teams are interested in trading down, hoping to turn their one high first-rounder into an array of picks later on in the process (or in future seasons). The St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins conducted such a deal in 2012, with the Redskins getting a franchise QB in Robert Griffin III at pick No. 2 overall, and the Rams getting multiple first-rounders in exchange.
