Raiders and Palmer's contract

Statistically speaking, Carson Palmer had a pretty successful campaign in 2012. He posted the second-most passing yards (4,018) in the history of the Oakland Raiders, and he tossed a somewhat respectable 22 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 14 games. Well, respectable for the QB of an undertalented team, at least. Despite his relative success, the Raiders have a tough decision to make when it comes to his contract, which calls for him to be paid $13 million in 2013 with a brutal salary-cap hit of more than $15 million. His contract gets even worse after this season, according to Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com
