UPDATE: It looks like we can add one more player to the list of potential training-camp QBs who could give Mark Sanchez some competition. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that David Garrard worked out with the Jets on Thursday. Garrard hasn't played an NFL game since 2010, primarily due to injuries, but he could give Sanchez a nudge if healthy and they sign him.
The New York Jets reportedly intend to bring five quarterbacks into camp this summer, which means they plan to add two more to the group of Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms. ESPN's Chris Mortensen said on "NFL32" Wednesday that they may well take a close look at adding free agent Brady Quinn to fill one of those open spots.
