As RBs coach, former Philadelphia Eagles running back Duce Staley will help head coach Chip Kelly usher in a new era in Philly, particularly since the Eagles are expected to lean far more heavily on the rushing attack under Kelly.
"They should be licking their chops," Staley said of the Eagles backfield, according to Chris McPherson of PhiladelphiaEagles.com.
In regards to LeSean McCoy, Staley said that "he can be the best to play the game."
McCoy was hardly underutilized under former coach Andy Reid -- he touched the pill more than 1,000 in 58 games -- but he did much of his damage as a receiver out of the backfield. McCoy likely will see a more traditional RB role under Kelly, and we should expect Bryce Brown to spell him regularly.
As McPherson notes, under Kelly's direction, the Oregon Ducks ranked in the top five in total rushing yards and rushing yards per attempt each of the past three seasons, so there should be plenty of room for McCoy and Brown to have a fantasy impact.
