Redskins, Davis and the cap

Due to their $18 million salary-cap penalty handed down by the NFL last year, the Washington Redskins are projected to be about $4 million over the cap. That means they will have to rework some contracts and/or cut some players just to get under the cap, and they'll have to go even further if they want to make any noise via the free-agent market. However, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reported Wednesday morning that the club has yet to do any such tweaks to the contracts of their current players.
