According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, tight end Jared Cook remains on track to be recovered from his shoulder surgery in time for June minicamps. In the interim, Cook is set for free agency, though the Tennessee Titans are expected to use the franchise tag on him if they can't work out an extension. Although they can tag Cook as soon as early next week, the Titans aren't in a rush to do so. Tight end franchise tags cost a relatively reasonable $5.967 million, but the Titans may prefer to work out a long-term extension with Cook, if they can convince him it's in his best interest.
