You might not even remember, but heading into the 2013 campaign, many a pundit expected rookie Montee Ball to lead the Denver Broncos' backfield from beginning to end. Instead, Ronnie Hillman entered Week 1 atop the depth chart, but he quickly faded out of the mix, and Knowshon Moreno ended up becoming the first Broncos running back to rack up 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in a season.
Now it appears at least possible, if not likely, that Moreno will leave as a free agent this offseason, leaving the door open for both Ball and Hillman to make a mark in '14. But how are those two viewed by the coaching staff? Will the team look to bring in a veteran runner?
