No more 'rookie wall'?

Because the NFL plays five more regular-season games than the NCAA, we have seen plenty of first-year pros hit the "rookie wall" as they take their first foray into that late-season stretch of games. The Buffalo Bills have 17 first-year players on their roster, including several who are playing significant roles. That includes Kiko Alonso, who hasn't missed a defensive snap this season. Nonetheless, coach Doug Marrone thinks that the new era in the NFL is limiting the effect of the rookie wall.
